Ngedate Siapa Weekend Nie?

Awek baru? Ex girlfriend yang baru jumpa balik beberapa hari yang lepas? Mamat hensem nak mati korang kenal kat Facebook? Abang membe baik kau yang da setahun lepas usha tapi sekarang baru brani nak tegur? Atau takde date? Selama ni kau ke hulu ke hilir dengan membe-membe sekepala kau jer?

Aper-aperjerla kawans. Tak kisahla korang nak ngedate saper-saperpun. Yang penting apa kata weekend ni kita go for something yang out of the ordinary sikit. Yang kita jarang buat hujung minggu (aku lar kot yang jarang buat pun).

This is something for those of you die hard fans of the most controversial and yet outstanding band in our country, OAG! (termasuk aku yang minat sejak zaman aku main lumpur lagi)

I think most of us pun dah aware pasal this great event which will be held at Istana Budaya, this weekend. And many has said "ini mungkin persembahan terakhir OAG before they split up, because Radhi is going solo afterwards".

Radhi is going solo? Pretty sad actually. But in my opinion, sama jer kot, coz all these while pun OAG keep on changing band members. Sampai sekarang yang aku tahu OAG itu Radhi, Radhi itu OAG. The rest = anonymous. Sorry guys.

OAG Unplugged ni akan dibahagi kepada 3 shows. And lineup dia nanti berbeza-beza ikut show, as listed kat bawah nie:

Kamu Aku Satu

Play the song Kamu Aku Satu from Iris Band, an online band which was originally formed by Fizan, Ali, Andy and Peon (former drummer) sometime in May 2006 in their pursuit to win a battle of the band in Kuching, Sarawak.




They did won the competition, when months after, Andy moved to KL to pursue his career as a professional guitarist. The distance problem has causing the slow movement of the band. Yet, they overcome the obstacles, and came out with their first single Kamu Aku Satu, in Oct 08.

One of many interesting facts about Iris Band is that their songs recording session is done via the Net, where guitar, keyboard and other instruments recorded by Andy in KL and bass and vocals recorded by Ali and Fizan in Kuching.


Another fact is, this great number is actually written by Irisluna, Fizan's lovely wife. She also wrote the song I'Luna. Iris Band writes the rest of the songs themselves. All editing, mixing, per-mastering processes done by Andy from his home studio in KL.

Kuching Made Punk Rocks

Happily Ever After - Story of My Life

Heyya!

I am so thrilled, so damn excited, so HAPPY today as I finally figured this totally awesome punk rock band from my very own hometown - Kuching!

For those yang non-sarawakian, korang jarang kan dengar acts from Kuching/ Sarawak. So it's my pleasure to present to ya'll this kuching-made band Happily Ever After!

Happily Ever After, is made of Anderian (vox & 2nd guitar), Ariza (lead guitar & vox), Fame (bassist & vox) and David (drummer). The name came taken from a book, katanya. Tapi mau dirahsiakan pula ya buku apa. Actually, band ni bukannnya baru lagi. They were existed since 06 (or earlier years). But they changed their name from State Revenue, then to Haven't Decides, then only came up with Happily Ever After, which suits their music genre. As they mentioned it "punk rock is a happy genre to play".

Influenced by Blink-182 (my favourite), Green Day, New Found Glory (my love!) and MXPX, I found that H.E.A is a very interesting band that has big potential to be put in the same class with other Malaysian succesful punkrock band such as Bunkface (assuming bunkface main punk rock..kan?kan?).

HEA nie kalau korang pegi tengok kat page myspace diorg hanya letak satu lagu sahaja, which entitled "Story of My Life". Actually, dioarang ada 4 lagu : I Hate Her, I'm The Unlucky Person, H.E.A Theme Song and Story of My Life. They don't have their EP released yet, but do expect it in May, June or end of the year.

Check out the song Story of My Life, which is written by Rian, mentioning that this is the story of his life, his expression of feelings. Where the song actually tells how a girl treated him like a doll. (owh pity cutie!)
